Discover scuba diving

First breath underwater in some of Türkiye’s clearest water.

Duration: Half day Season: April – November from €60 (typical 2026 season, per person unless noted)

Kaş is widely rated the best diving town in Türkiye — deep, clear, warm water metres from the harbour, and more dive centres per street than anywhere else on the coast. A discover dive is the no-licence version: a briefing, a patient instructor, shallow protected water, and that unrepeatable first breath under the surface.

No course, no exam, no experience — just basic comfort in the water. Intro dives stay shallow (around 5–6 metres) with an instructor beside you the whole time. Most people surface already asking about the licence course.

Questions people actually ask

Do I need a licence to try diving?

No. A discover dive is exactly for people without a licence: a briefing, shallow water and an instructor at your side. If you enjoy it, the entry-level course takes a few days and can start right after.

How deep do you go on a first dive?

Around 5–6 metres — enough for fish, colour and the full weightless feeling, shallow enough to stay easy on your ears.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

You should be comfortable in the water, but this is not a swimming test — the equipment does the floating and the instructor does the navigating.

When is diving season in Kaş?

Roughly April to November. Water peaks near 28°C in late summer and stays divable well into autumn.
